Sorry I’ve been quiet. But the good news is I’ve made lots of progress on the next release for The Keymaster. Story and code are now loaded into Ren’Py and checked. Mini animations are done. Now I’m playing through the game in its multiple variants to find other bugs and dialogue that needs improving.

Time for a quick progress report on the next release. Words are at around 90%. New images are at around 350 finished plus 30 drafts, and that is more than 80% of what I need. But the images can take up to eight hours each to “render”, so there’s still a bit of work to go before I have them all. Anyway, the next release should be out for you guys in February!

As you can see, Jessica can go flying in the next release. That is one of around 400 new images for V 0.9.
And I’m flying along with it too. The new release is now loaded into Ren’py and I’m playing all the paths and sub-paths to look for bugs, missing images etc. If it all goes well, I should be able to start releasing it to you guys next week!

Mallory and the MC are chilling out, but I’ve been hard at work on V 0.8!
The text is done. I’m finishing off the last images while I set up the mini animations. Then it’s time to load it all into the coding package and turn the words into a Ren’py game. It gets a final debug (or two, or three!) and polish, and then I’ll have it out to you.

I thought I’d share a finished image with you while I make another (that is taking 40 minutes to “render”).
What has Rose just suggested to Ellie? Whatever it was, Lucy seems impressed! And why do they have no clothes on?

Arghh! I back up my renders, finished images and text every week, but not my “drafts” folder, which I just deleted by accident. Crappity crap! So I have just gone over the last four months of images (about 800 images) to find the 32 in particular I had not rendered in final form. From now on I will back up my drafts folder too!
Rendering in Daz can be really weird. Some images take just ten minutes to render, but I am currently working on a set with Mallo...
