Gaz: "Eh? . ? ? ? ?...??!" lit. everyone when they first watch S2. The reactions and theories were on fire when it first aired <3 Did you notice the parallels of the respective E1 of S1 and S2 ? I personally find it very well done. But, how did you like not react at all that Lulu has "his only brother". and only when he says "Rolo" (which is "his only brother") do you ask "Who is Rolo?" Who indeed. PS: My headcannon 100% guarantees that this frontal shot of Kallen in bunny outfit in the mech inspired all of Darling in the Franxx all on its own x:

2024-10-08 20:00:06 +0000 UTCI told you i can hear the "i am confused" already when we talked about the start of the second season :) it is a really mean cold open for the second season which confused pretty much everyone myself included! Notable things happening this episode: The Black Knights are almost completly wiped, most of them are imprisoned or dead, what was left came with the Airship and just a few randoms that have fled like Diethard and Rakshata are somewhere else. Zero has to start from... zero again. We also saw the first real climpses of the Chinese Federation, they were present in the last season too, especially when that one guy that fled Japan tried to conquer it with their help but for unknown diplomatic reasons a high ranking euneuch is visiting Japan with the current and new Viceroiy Calares (a duke from britannia) what happend to cornelia? we don't know. Kallen didn't had any time to change clothes, they were on a real big time crunch. Lelouch wasn't trying to meet up with them and in the confusion it was most likely that he would escape or even be killed by the chaos, she doesn't need special equipment to use the Gurren MK2 but having the "uniform" as Rakshata says "increases the life expandency of the pilot" Here we have one of my absolut favorite scenes in the whole show. I absolutley love the moment after the secret service that observed Lelouch killed themselfs when Kallen and the other Mech break through the wall and kneel before him. It gives me goosebumbs every time i see it, i only wish they would've executed the offing themself more like Season 1 Episode 1 but that is just nitpicking. A lot of this season will feel strangely familiar to you, they take existing story elements and give them a similiar beat, some get a bit distracted by that others love the similiarties, it will be up to you to decide what you think about it, the best i can explain without spoilering is the first Episode of both seasons, in both Lelouch gets hunted by the Britannians and CC is killed in his place, he gets the geass and takes them out the same way too. I personally love it. And ofc we have many unanswered questions left some will be explained in the next episode which i will go watch now ^-^
