Finally got to this point. This show really had the vibe of the old Godzilla Movies I’ve watched. The only exception was that I watched them in (very bad) English dub. lol. 😆 I like where the animation studio concluded this cour. I’m looking forward to the next arc.

2024-08-04 10:30:16 +0000 UTCOn top of that, as Shinomiya's testing kept going, I actually started to agree with his methods with Kafka, to push him so he can see if Kafka can control himself or not. Personally, maybe Shinomiya's harsh demeanor is help his daughter survive to possibly overcome his personal loss of his wife, which clearly affected him badly. But it's all speculation at this point, since we don't have enough info about past events, it's been ten years since Kaiju number 6's events, so who knows who Shinomiya was like back then.

2024-07-15 22:08:23 +0000 UTCGranted, when it comes to being a father figure, Isao Shinomiya seems to be a horrible human being. But hearing a little bit more of his personal history about his wife and knowing more about what Kaiju Number 6 actually did, made me understand where he comes from. His wife, a former Defense Force officer dying along with 200 other officers, as well as 3 captain level individuals, shows how much concern he has for future Kaiju threats. Treating his daughter the way he did, may look horrible, but with his responsibilities and understanding of UNIQUE kaiju situations, he just wants Kikoru to be strong. Though I may be stringing along maybe a little too hard, Isao giving Kafka a chance may show that he's being harsh, hard and strong to pull the fullest out of everyone.
