Also, I know it wasn't intentional for Victor to upset Yuri the way he did - but anger is the best way to get out of a bad anxiety place. lol I know from experience, and also from researching it online xD

2024-06-08 11:55:31 +0000 UTCAND HERE IT IS! definitely in my top 3 episodes, maybe even my favorite. mini-rant incoming: first, i really appreciate that parking lot scene, because i feel this is the first time we actually got to see *victor* struggle in this show so far, and funnily enough, it's on a problem that to most people probably wouldn't even be a big one. not only did he have no idea how to properly handle it, but even took the COMPLETELY wrong approach at first, even if he may have had good intentions with it, when the simplest solution was to just BE there for yuuri. i always love seeing characters like victor go through small instances like these, they add so much more depth to his character in my opinion. and of course, the kiss scene...that one made people go INSANE back when it came out, in every way. on the one hand people, including me, were really happy not only about the development itself, but also at the confirmation that this was, in fact, a queer anime! which some people might not care about at all, and some really didn't, but just 7-ish years ago, proper lgbtq+ representation in anime was even rarer than it is today (and even today it's still not really common), so YOI really did something huge there. on the other hand, there were naturally people who didn't seem to like it a lot, and some even tried to argue that they merely hugged solely because you don't actually SEE the kiss behind victor's arm, despite the audience reactions & the way it was all set up. it was a wild time LMAO anyway, tangent over, gonna jump into your reaction to the next ep right away, hope you're having a lovely day, gaz!
