Darker than Black is a GREAT show. Wouldn’t watch Gemini of the Meteor (3rd opening 2nd season) but the first season is dark and intriguing. Each episode is sort of a stand alone where they build the rules of the world in each one and slowly unveil the main story. I think you’d like this show, and Parasyte a lot.

There is a lot of critic about the second season with the focus change on a different character but personally i still enjoyed it. There is not much to say about the Story, it is not really about Good and Evil, the world is pretty similiar to ours with one difference, (i believe it was two) Gates appeard in the world that replaced our nightsky with a fake one, each star representing someone that gained inhumane abilities, some are more usefull than others and each one comes with a price to pay every time the ability is used, like smoking a cigarette for example. The MC "Hei" belongs to a syndicate that works from the Shadows but it is fair to say that the main focus of their buisness are Assassinations and yeh, that is pretty much it, everything else like backstories or motivation needs to be explored throughout the show. On a small sidenote, back when Darker than Black aired the MC got meme'd into beeing "The Chinese Batman". Great show, hope you will react to it at some point!
