Agreed. Some people might use "tradition" and "culture" as an excuse, but some things, no matter the time and place, are just unjustifiable.

That made it so that the bones would then "heal" and rearrange themselves in that new position, making the feet smaller. In China the smaller the foot, the more refined the woman supposedly was. Which in turn also meant that a woman with larger feet was unlikely to be a marriage prospect.
