Yet another anime I watched because of your reaction video. The animation is truly amazing and find the characters are interesting. Definitely a sci-fi anime with intriguing story telling & world building. I did finish the season and found it entertaining. Generally speaking, I don't drop anime's. I read a non-spoiler synopsis and watch it based on that information.

Which means that BONES is pulling out all the stops to make it look beautiful animation-wise, especially in their choice to use 2D animation to portray mechas and their battles, instead of the widespread CG. The interactions between the two leads are fun and genuine, with organic dialogues moving the story along. As for the plot itself, it's still too early to say. The sci-fi premise is very interesting, and little by little we are given new information to piece the various elements together; but it still hasn't delivered. Right now we don't even know how many episodes it's gonna have, which means that it still has time to grow from that premise and give us a beautiful story. But it also risks trying too hard to create a grandiose one, only to fail and become one of the many "it doesn't live up to its premise". Still one of the best of this season in my opinion, I simply hope it will be able to reach its full potential.
