No date yet for season 3 but it was confirmed! As a manga reader, it will be another magnificent season underway!

This amazing journey is finally at an end for now. One of the top staff members for the anime, Takahiko Abiru, made a tweet not long after this episode aired stating that "Thorfinn's journey will continue". So no one has flat out said that we're getting a season 3, but I take that as a vary good sign. As of now there is enough source material for two more seasons, however the manga isn't quite finished but will be soon. It's expected that there will be 4 more books to finish off the series, with 26 books currently released.
Leif really is one of the GOATS of the series, so many years devoted to finding Thorfinn and bringing him home has finally paid off. You can't help but be happy for him.
I know it's meant to be a bit of comic relief, but it is a little sad seeing Ylva not believe Thorfinn has returned. Over the years Leif has probably told them on multiple occasions that Thorfinn was finally coming home only for it to be a false hope, so of course Ylva would lose hope eventually and start to believe that Thorfinn really was dead.
If you're still not quite sure who Ari is he was one of the young guys present when Thors died, he was seen trying to ask Ylva to marry him shortly before they left, Askeladd had punched Ari pretty hard to get him to stop attacking him after Thors died which would explain his missing tooth.
The parallel between Thorfinn remembering the slave his father tried to save and Thorfinn trying to save and comfort Arnheid in her final moments was a nice touch I thought.
Not too much to say about this episode, just nice to take it all in. Really enjoyed your reaction to this series, looking forward to whatever comes next

last scenes were, all of Thorfins parents/parent figures (Thors, Helga, Leif, Askelad), in the past when their journeys started, that montage ended with Thorfins journey start
