Yui Ishikawa’s portrayal of Violet was amazing, especially after Watching the final episode of Attack on Titan (Mikasa). She adds so much emotional depth to these characters. Even when they seem to appear so stoic and one dimensional at times.

2023-11-17 12:04:33 +0000 UTCThe Light Novels really depicts Violet in war as practically a superhuman, I'm glad KyoAni toned it down. One tidbit from the wiki that I find amusing but doesn't fit the tone of the show: "Violet also owns a massive [like Anime massive] battle axe called Witchcraft that she used as a soldier and later when traveling to dangerous places as an Auto Memory Doll. Though it is too heavy for ordinary people to carry, Violet wields it with ease" Also after you're done with the series I would recommend reading the history section of Violet on the wiki, it explains why the world treated her as nothing more than a weapon better than the show.
