This is one of the most impactful episodes of the whole series, and that last scene will stay with you to the very end, that's for sure. And, while Raye Penber's death was Light's first step towards "the end justifies the means" , this one is different: this is the first time Light targets a civilian who is completely unrelated to the investigation for nothing but his own benefit (Raye was still an FBI agent in charge of finding out Kira's identity).
