Two months before the Grand Festival, Marina is drawn to a secluded area somewhere past The Crater. An otherworldly place at the border of Inkadia and the Splatlands. A nexus of Order and Chaos.
The Orderlands.
There, in a sancturary, Marina finds she was not just drawn to this place - she was summoned.
The multitude of voices speaks in unison, challenging her to battle, her Order Suit and Order Brella at the ready...
"'In the name of Order.' 'To protect the balance you have found.' That is what you seek? How, then, can you hope to do so, when those before you have failed to do the same?"
"You can't judge Turflings for the humans' mistakes. We are not like them."
"We say otherwise. We saw how your kind was born. You carry the spirit of those who came before you. We saw - yet again - your propensity for war and destruction."
"I'll give you that. That was why I left my home. There is hope out there, beyond war and hate. We have to take, and give, that chance. How would we live without hope?"
"... We had hope as you did, Marina. The kindness and heroics by you and your friends, they remind us of someone we knew long ago. Her love, her kindness gave us hope, for their future... And they learned nothing! They destroyed their future, this world, and themselves with it... We have had enough! Engarde!"
"Please, don't do this, we can talk this out!"
"No, no more! I challenge you to a Turf War, Marina. Prove your love for this world and the life within, or, like those who came before - you shall perish!"
