One thing to mention about Demon Slayer and Zenitsu in particular (I do not know if anyone mentioned this before so excuse me if this is known info to you): When they use their breathing forms, the water, fire, thunder etc. effects are NOT seen by the characters in the show. This is basically just visuals for the manga reader and anime watcher, a metaphor. For the characters in the story, the techniques are literally just seen as sword swings in whatever particular way they do it in that said technique. With that said, in season 1 when Zenitsu chopped that poisoning spider's head after using his thunder clap, Tanjiro goes "Was that a thunderstrike? But I don't see any clouds" or something along those lines. Now in this episode, Tanjiro goes "That sounded like thunder" after Zenitsu did it. This means that Zenitsu actually moves so fast and with such force, he produces a loud thundering sound every time he does his technique.
