Too Hot For Splatcasts

A little preamble before I begin. This was intended for the end of January, but much like the setting here... this has been my experience in my corner of the world in January, a real scorcher of a summer, and it really worn me down enough to try to get some rest. But again, wanted to get back into more detailed drawings. Hope you enjoy it.
"So much for this week's Splatcast, Big Man. With the studio's air conditioning being fixed, we'll get cooked if we try to broadcast... That's happening everywhere!
"Ay. Aaay, ay. ... Ay. (At least we get some time off, Shiver. The Boss Lady's Assistant and that weird shiny person has been helping out. ...Though I'm a little worn out with soda.)
"Ugh this heat is murder! Why don't we go in one those Hydration Stations?"
"Aay-ay, ayy. (We'll be alright, it's best to leave those for people who really need it. It was your idea after all.)
"Yeah, you're right."
Ay, ay? Aaay ay. (By the way, where's Frye? I was sure she bought a shake from here today.)"
"I guess we'll meet up with her later and-OH MY COD."
"Ay? Ay? (What? What is it?)"
"N-nothing, nothing! Let's just get to that gazebo over there immediately and finish our ice-cream."
"Ay... Aaaaaay, ay. (O-kaaaay, then).

2024-02-04 17:17:31 +0000 UTCIt's been hot as hell for me too over the summers (but not now, thankfully, it's Winter where I am) and I'm a desert rat. Also, need. I love the way you draw people. Frye is majesty, you draw bodies so very well. I would just pick her up and twirl her around.

2024-02-04 10:42:04 +0000 UTCI just realised Inklings have it even worse in the summer because they can't swim in water so they can't even take a dip in the local pool to cool off. Even if they wanted to go to the beach, most of the ocean is gross and filled with Salmonids so yeah. At that point, resorting to Frye's method almost seems normal.
