Waterfall Bathing

[23/09: Made a little change to experiment! I was reading up a water droplet tutorial a friend recommended to me. I think it's just the last touch this picture needed! I hope you like it!]

Happy Birthday to me, I guess. For time difference reasons, it's actually posted around the morning of the 18th on my end, so for most of my international Patrons - you're seeing this early! And as a slight change of pace, this drawing is also immediately available for all Reward Tiers from the get-go. In fact, perhaps I may post this elsewhere a day or two later. Stuff like this I feel like sharing on my day.

I want to thank all of you for putting up with my strange and slightly troubling mindset this month. Hell, this month, I readily confess was more of a "me" month, drawing what I really really like, so been somewhat self-indulgent, moreso than usual this month - but at the cost of expecting far too much of myself, and that was what happened earlier this week. Thank you all so very much for your support and understanding.

Well, that aside, I'm glad to get to a drawing that posed a different challenge to me. Another Drawing Exercise in disguise, you might say! Drawing my beloved Mia was easy, it was a whole bunch of other little things that was challenging; rendering wet skin; finding a way to draw a simple-ish waterfall rendering; giving the illusion of moving and shining water; finding a way to draw things behind water. Yeah, of all things, the water was the toughest part of this entire drawing, and, mostly a way for me to practice lining backgrounds which I wanted to do more lately.

So! I hope you enjoy Mia's wet muscles as she takes a relaxing bath in her favourite waterfall/lake on her home of Crescent Island. The water comes from the very tall highlands, so it's quite cool, handy seeing it gets hot on this place. The lake's big enough for some company, I'd say...
