Toes 'N Turnips

Now here's someone I thought about drawing for a long time! The character is called Mama, no other name attached it seems. She's one of the characters from the NES/Famicom game Doki Doki Panic, based on the TV program (translated as) Dream Factory '87, before the game was localised as Super Mario Bros. 2.
I was mulling over how I can draw this mature beauty; I originally had a simpler pose in mind, but the recent SG777 pics had me wanting to do more dynamic poses and more involved background work - and at the same time, show off some sole. In this case, she's somewhat doing the flutter-style kick as she jumps high into the air. (Which is Luigi's jump now).
I admit to... slightly embellishing her appearance compared to her original look in a few ways, but I hope this turns out well!

Well, tbh, I'm in the completely underwhelming minority who doesn't find Isabelle cute at all, but it may again have to do with my general distaste towards AC's artstyle. It just isn't my thing.

Might seem a little hypocritical coming from someone who commissioned him to draw two of his AC ‘sonas, but like, they’re human, and way more easily translate to such a style, so it’s no wonder he hasn’t drawn Isabelle yet. Never understood the attraction of that kind to her.

TBF, I know Mostly has never played AC either, but I imagine he's likely looked more into the R34 than I have, I myself find the artstyle really off putting as opposed to the majority who think it's cute.

Apparently there's something in AC involving Turnips, and I dunno what it is, but still. Still good for you to pick a rather obscure choice out of everyone here as you tend to, she's kinda cute.

2020-05-22 18:51:27 +0000 UTCI always thought that Doki Doki Panic would be one of those things lost in the sands of time due to SMB2 taking its place and this being related to some TV company thing. But this is an interesting way to bring it right back, and nice work on her design! The detailing in the background is great, especially seeing more of the level in the background (reminds me of World 1-1). Always nice to see some sole of course, like the idea here in a platformer like this.
