"For the un-life of me, I can't seem to think of a suitable way for you to serve me... Can you think of a way, slave?"
Finally, I got something in with this character, the Shadow Queen! It's odd to hear, but for months, heck, even a few years, I've been hitting my head on a wall trying to figure out a way to update the way I draw her; her hair was the most troublesome. Most of the time, I kept doing too much detail, or the shape was not very satisfactory.
That is, until I finally hit inspiration, with a Ms. Hestif commission I made around last year... The wide ribbon-like hair was suitable to the Shadow Queen's original game appearance (also ribbon-like hair), while allowing me to give her a few extra locks. Meanwhile, the body and "face" remained more or less the same.
It was going so well, I figured I'd draw her throne room too! Avid players would recognise this as the arena where Mario and friends face Grodus for the climactic battle...

2020-06-01 23:30:55 +0000 UTCAaah, glad you saw that! That would be a human form of Lady Bow, the Boo girl from the first Paper Mario game. I drew her before for a friend's commission, and felt like putting her in there to tease some potential future fun for Vivian.
