I always assumed we were supposed to believe they hit the meat chunks flying above them and then pulleded the reel trigger to pull the chunk and pilot towards each other, while also burning fuel to climb towards the target with the thrusters. The gear seems to give the user AT LEAST a 1:1 thrust to weight ratio but obviously it's fictional so who knows lol. The real hard part would be hitting the chunks with the hooks while they're flying far over head.

2022-12-24 15:15:42 +0000 UTCMy only gripe with this episode was when they were all flying around chopping up bits of titan. It was a very Spiderman-blooper scene where you have to stop and wonder "What are they grappling from to fly through the air that high up?"
