So the problem isn't that they're related (weirdly, lol), it's that she's having pre-marital sex cos if she married then, her husband might think any offspring she has isn't his. Ya get me

Kings before them have exiled their own loved daughters when they slept outside marriage. (Targaryen history nerd here) I dont see why it matters either, but thats why they make a big deal out of it.

She is so young and being forced through all this stuff but she's still being a good wife instead of being bitter as she should and she really does care for Viserys in a way. Really love her in these episodes, she deserved a better life and was just failed by everyone around her and she made best of it :(

The realm, her father and her future husband would want to make sure that any children are legitimate and this can only happen if she’s a virgin when she marries, and then only sleeps with her husband.

She profits from sharing secrets through a network who works for her. I don’t even think Otto knows who the White Worm is. He just knows he can “trust” whatever info they bring him.

The actor is amazing! “You ARE my political headache” is one of my favorite lines, always makes me chuckle 🤭

She NEVER said she remained a virgin, Alicent assumed that since Rhaenera didn't have sex with Daemon that she was still 'intact'. Lie of omission, if you will. As far as saying 'Daemon never touched me', some people strictly mean 'no sex' when they say that phrase. Which is what Rhaenera meant. Alicent took it literally, which is stupid, because literally that means he couldn't even hold her hand or take her elbow or any other thousand innocent touches. One lens to view Alicent through: she should've been a silent sister (remember those are the GOT version of nuns). She's very religious (which is natural given that she comes from Oldtown, where their religion is based), she hates the physical side of her marriage but is very duty bound to produce heirs. She's horrified at the idea of any impurities. Just look at everything she does through that lens and it will make sense for her character. She would've been much happier as a silent sister. The virginity thing...I personally as a Christian see it as a gift for your spouse (whether you're male or female). Unfortunately, mankind has turned the female virginity into a currency, since it's something you can physically check. If you look at it like that, Rhaenera has lost a very important currency, plus if she doesn't drink the tea and marries a lord who knows she's 'sullied', he has no guarantee that her first child is his. If she was a virgin, he would be guaranteed that, this is the value of the currency. It's stupid and dumb, but that's the world of GOT and it's corresponding time in our history. Can't wait for the next few episodes!!
