I agree you should sell Nike. It’s certainly a great company but you are exactly right that their biggest moat is the brand. I have had Nike on my watchlist for a couple years now but have never brought myself to buying simply because I don’t invest in fashion brands. What’s popular today might be popular next year, but when you start thinking about 5, 10, 15 years into the future, who knows what brands will be popular. Maybe Nike will maintain their spot, but will they grow more than companies like Google, Microsoft or Costco? My guess is probably not.

I think you should sell to invest in higher yielding dividend stocks that have a greater growth potential. While something is better than nothing, and they are a blue chip company that I wouldn't fear being taken over by any other competitor, the value just isn't there. Also, I am not sure how long you have been holding but if it has been over a year, you are set for capital gains taxes.
