Creating a Bodysuit for Genesis 8 Male
Added 2025-09-12 16:47:13 +0000 UTCI have a bodysuit created for Genesis 8 Female that I often use as a starting point.
This time I decided to make one for Genesis 8 Male and this is a timelapse of making the mesh and unwrapping the UVs.
The mesh itself is partially tested and it does work with shaping, though did did require a push modifier and smoothing. I expect there are some crotch issues as well as up at the shoulders.
The only problem I have with the video is that OBS cropped the recording window. I also found out that I should be display capturing while in Blender as it will allow the popup windows to show up.
I think I might add another subdivision surface, create a vertex group for the gloves (and maybe feet) and apply another shrinkwrap for those groups to get a tighter and more detailed fit for the fingers and top of the foot.
We'll see. I might also add a mask/hood on, though that would require a change to the UV layout in order to avoid any seam issue at the neck. Maybe invest time and start doing UDIMs. I don't know.
