Make a new pair of boots for Genesis 8. Used a different method to generate the lace holes this time. Seems to have worked well.
Boot is divided into multiple surfaces for quick customizations: eyelet, laces, trim, sole and leather.
Providing the UV layout and surface IDs for those willing to do more customizations.
Oh, and the laces can move as the knot is on it's own bone.

Was a bit of a disaster. I really shouldn't complain.

Using OBS and a virtual camera to test streaming on Discord.
Couldn't get desktop music to play, which is annoying but no big deal. The problem is that when I tried to playback the saved recording it was awful. I've never seen such chop in a video before.
Which is in total contrast to my one viewer who said it was all fine.
What I did was spruce up my old boxing headgear from 2017 and also updated the Substance Painter file to export new and better textures.

I guess someone is doing a Fightober or Boxtober so might be time to dust off the boxing gloves and see if I can update them some.

Made a new mesh for a title belt and trying to get more of a practical experience with weight painting, so working incrementally on items like this. The belt isn't too radical, but the next one(s) might be.
Separated it out into two materials: leather and plates.
Has 21 bones for posing.

I have a bodysuit created for Genesis 8 Female that I often use as a starting point.
This time I decided to make one for Genesis 8 Male and this is a timelapse of making the mesh and unwrapping the UVs.
The mesh itself is partially tested and it does work with shaping, though did did require a push modifier and smoothing. I expect there are some crotch issues as well as up at the shoulders.

To begin with an important change, I've taken them out from the Genesis 8 Male and Female folders and moved them into the generic Genesis 8 folder. Given that they work for both, it was causing potential issues when updating the packs. I had too many confusing nested subfolders, so I'm taking the time to clean things up and making it way simpler.
I would advise deleting my old pose folders from both the male and female sections in your DAZ library.

I've decided to create this video to show how I added posable laces to these new laced boots.
Originally, I had started to record my screen to create another time-lapse video, but after an initial test of the boots I found them underwhelming and stopped that.
I turned around and finished the boots anyways (the lacing was P-P-PAINFUL, and the UV unwrapping brought me untold misery), and it did take quite a while to do so, but I didn't record any of it beyond the early stages.

I also renamed the root folder so it doesn't overwrite the existing folder set if people want to keep it instead.

A very simple prop. Contains four different polygon configurations and two sets of five crowd textures. Should give a lot of nice combinations to avoid seeing repetition. Used AI to generate the textures over the last few days and filtered out all the nightmare fuel creations.

So, I've decided to start recording some of these creation sessions now and create timelapse videos. I'm going to try and do it for the entire process, though I might have to cut back on the texturing portion in Substance Painter as I often go down blind alleys and give up on a design and simply restart from zero.

... suddenly, Patreon won't let me upload PDFs or ZIPs. Changed browsers even. It will only allow me to upload images (and MP4s) now. I have a second Patreon account and the problems are there as well.
They decided to 'improve' the interface two weeks ago so I guess that's where we can expect how this problem came into being.

Well, it works, but not really.
The denoiser doesn't work. Not sure why. I'm pretty sure it's not because I hit the VRAM limit on the cards.
