Goldie and Fox have a sibling like relationship with Fox being the needy 'little brother' despite his age and build. Goldie seems to be the only one who tolerates his snobbish personality and he became attached to her because of that and the fact she saved him many times during their trainee days. During this time, Angel took interest in Fox, seeing how he treated her and hoping for the same affection from him. Only to be disappointed as Fox only has eyes for Goldie. In the game Fox can admit he fancies her or simply admires her as a sister depending your gameplay choices. but canon in my mind, he does love Goldie but know he is not the right one for her.
Angel actually likes Fox more than Doll as well, but she knows they are too similar to each other. In terms of their active sex lives and lack of realization to their own emotions.
Meanwhile Xander and MH have a pretty complex relationship, with MH being fascinated by Xander. Since MH can see pass through Xander's facade. Meanwhile Xander was quite abrasive towards him at first, but due to him keeping up his kind image, he tried to befriend him. Ironically Xander was the one who became attached to him as they share a secret. What secret may that be? Well let's just say that rumors about MH beating up suspects and torturing POI for info may not be all MH's doing. He did have a little help...
