2026-02-17 00:40:56 +0000 UTCThank you so much!!!!! Really love hearing how much you are appreciating everything. I put basically two years of my life into these books so it means a ton to have people connect with it the same way I did when I wrote it. ❤️❤️❤️

2026-02-16 22:40:34 +0000 UTCTWO chapters in one day, truly, your generosity knows no bounds 🤣. I’m not saying I teared up… but somewhere a grown man is definitely weeping and calling it “pure appreciation.” Also, it’s actually insane how you make every king feel so different in such a short span. . Lothair’s measured caution, Raynald’s blunt enthusiasm… it’s the sort of political tension that feels effortless, magnificent work man. And I love the way you keep dangling the wider world just out of reach. Wallon, Artois, Picardy… it has that same intoxicating sense of looming adventure that Book 1 had when Alexander first stepped beyond Nova Roma. If this is what the road looks like after the war, then I am very happily along for it.

2026-02-16 18:42:26 +0000 UTCMainly the crossbowmen, with the spears to hold off the Knights and die to buy them time to shoot. Crossbows were one of the main ways of killing knights, traditionally. That's one of the reasons the pope tried to ban them, lol. But don't worry, we'll see just how strong the Knights really are later, and Alexander is definitely underestimating them here. :)

2026-02-16 18:35:46 +0000 UTCI'm a bit surprised to hear that the crossbowmen/spearmen are somehow better than armored knights. If we go by history that only holds true if they outnumber the knights by a large margin, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Also we saw this French knight before in book 1 which was incredibly strong, so I hope they won't be too weak.

2026-02-16 18:04:16 +0000 UTC> This was what was called a “lance” here in France. When you listen to the chapter, this sentence stands out. 😂 Love it. Wish there was more one could do with the rhyme, but it made me chuckle anyway.

2026-02-16 18:02:03 +0000 UTCThank you for the chapters! Wanted to say I have faith that you’re gonna stick the landing on this. However, I have been wanting Alexander to have a leadership class since the beginning of book 2, and considering he’s leading an empire, it’s kind of silly that he still doesn’t have one. You’re probably saving all of that banked XP for something juicy but him not taking advantage of engineer/administrator/mafia boss/spy/politician/diplomat/king/princeps/emperor/merchant is driving me kinda crazy. Love the series, will these last two books tie this story up? Any chance of a sequel series of the Earth Gang vs the multiverse?

2026-02-16 17:57:17 +0000 UTCLove the interactions. How these kings feel like real individuals, with their own way of looking at the world. That on its own is already an asset.
