Today is officially the one year anniversary of me being a published author!
Added 2022-10-06 19:51:16 +0000 UTCOne year ago I uploaded Jake's Magical Market with absolutely no expectations. Only my wife and my editor even knew I was writing a book, mainly because I was only writing as a way to help me deal with a difficult job, Covid stress, and other ongoing struggles of mine. I expected maybe 100 people to read the book MAX, but wanted to get a cover I loved, the card art to bring the book to life, and an editor just so I could feel proud of what I published no matter if people read it or not.
To my eternal surprise, people flocked to the book. It isn't perfect by any means, but something about Jake's story seems to really resonate with people and I am so thankful for how many of you have given the book a chance. It has been truly life altering for me.
I was able to quit my full time job (really MORE than full time if I'm being honest). I've been able to move with my wife to a new area where we can both work remotely. We've also finally been able to afford to buy a house for the first time in both our lives, something we honestly never thought was going to happen given our current economic climate. And I've been able to release even more books, which readers have seemed to like just as much (or more lol)!
Thank you everyone for all your continued support. It truly means the world to me and has given me the chance to live out a dream that I always thought was unattainable. I am eternally grateful to you all!

Thank you! I'm sorry that I can't get right to Jake's. I'm just too worried about forgetting all the details for Nova Roma if I stop writing it before it's done. Promise I'll be jumping to Jake's the minute I can though!
