3some process.

I was working on a picture for Friday's July Update and I decided that I might as well show my process when making this type of pictures. Mainly because people regularly ask me about why I don't accept 3somes as commissions or requests. You'll find out why lol.

There's 2 kinds of 3somes, ones that are very simple. For example, I want a picture of some DXD girls in a simple position.

And there you have it, that took less than 2 minutes to generate. This is very easy to make since both girls are nude, have more or less the same body type and both have pretty much the same expression. This picture has 0 editing done to it so you can see some weird stuff like Akeno holding her own hand and weird proportions on the lower part of the girls and boys body where the magic is happening.

The other kind of picture is when I want each character in a specific pose, or expression. Something like this.

As you can see, there's a lot of details going on in this picture. Other than both girls wearing very different outfits, Ruby's expression is very different than Yang's and even though they're in very similar positions they're doing very different things. While Ruby is having the time of her life Yang is drooling and hugging her pillow.

These kinds of pictures I can't just ask the AI to make them so they require a lot of handiwork which you'll see in a bit. I'd say these can take from 40 minutes to an hour or even more to make. Some of them I'd say take the same amount of time as a full fledged set. So, let's get started

Say, I want a picture of Caesar and Burnice, Caesar is driving and Burnice is doing her business with the guy on the backseat while Caesar is begging for her turn. Alright, so let's ask the AI to make that for me.

This is probably not what you were imagining. The perspective is not what I wanted and I also asked for a single guy but I kept getting two, this is the result of pressing the "make picture" button without me editing or fixing anything so that's what that idea would look like if I didn't work on this from 0.

So let's start from the beginning, first of all, I need two pictures that I can use that will match the same background and that can be slapped together and will look like a cohesive complete picture once it's been edited. This also allows me to customize what each character is doing a lot more.

So here's my two pictures, a bit of a spoiler but the final result is going to look way different at least for Burnice. Both backgrounds more or less match so it will be less of a pain to cobble these together, now for the first rough draft.

After some very shoddy manual cropping, the first draft is done. At this point this looks pretty bad lol, but I still have to rough out the edges using some AI software and some light Photoshop. I also need to adjust the prompts so that the software knows I want a single picture and not a picture cut into two like the one you're looking at.

Here's the same picture after some light fixes. Proportions are much better looking and now it looks like both girls are inside the car, but there's still some weird stuff going on like Caesar's seat being completely gone. I also need to be very mindful about leaving some empty space around the characters for text while also taking into account the background so that it won't be completely obscured.

I should also mention that at this point there's a lot of pictures being discarded. A lot of my work is pretty much just re-rolling until I get a good picture like it's a gacha lol. As these tools improve it gets a lot easier but you're still using valuable time to get just the right generation and it piles up, but that's a whole can of worms for another day.

So this is pretty much my final draft before upscaling. This is still not perfect but it's the base that I'll use to finish the picture before polishing it. Text has been added and the characters expressions and positions are exactly where I want them to be.

So this is the final upscaled draft.

"Draft? what the hell are you talking about T.G" you might be thinking. Yes the picture is practically finished, but this is the point in time when I get a lot of ideas or I just dump the picture into a folder because I'm dead tired of looking at it. So now, I'm thinking that the guy is having a lot of fun back there but I think I can make it better.

Yup, now he's in a way happier place than he was before. I also really like Caesar's expression way more in this too.

In theory, I could've done this a lot easier on myself if I decided not to make this as complex, like just have Caesar sitting alongside them in the backseat or just make this a 2 strip comic but that's just no fun.

So that's pretty much it. Know you know why some of these things take a lot of time. See you guys on Friday for the full July update!
