Especially the colony ship's engineer. You could at least say the other people in the group had bought in to the philosophy before they left. He was shanghaied into it.

2025-10-06 22:48:26 +0000 UTCYeah, the people staying behind 100% makes no sense. After 10 years on Karen's Plantation, I'd be on the first ship home. I would find the first replicator...start with a nice caprese salad, then some butternut squash soup, then a ribeye steak with a potato featuring more sour cream and butter than actual potato...then a pile of tiramisu with a slice of cheescake on top of it. Then a brief nap before locking myself in the holodeck with a copy of Vulcan Love Slave for a couple of days. Its just completely unrealistic that literally EVERYONE would want to stay and scratch vegetables from the dirt and cross their fingers they don't stub their toe and die of tetanus.

Like, there was no debate about leaving the planet from that community? Everyone just shrugged off the revelation that she manipulated and lied to them all? It felt like the end was, "I guess she lied but, this is our community, so no big deal. Thanks for coming!" It was like they got toward the end and didn't notice they were running out of time.
