The writer of this screenplay is famous horror author Robert R. McCammon. I have really enjoyed some of his books. His top books include Swan Song, Boy's Life, They Thirst and Mine.

That being said, I'm going to have to check the credits to see who scored this thing the music was cool. I looked it up, Merl Saunders and the Greatful Dead. Plus it looks like Huey Lewis played the harmonica for it.
