A fun episode, but Iโ€™m really looking forward to the next episode, E14 Clues. This is one of favorite episodes, anxious for your reaction!

Joseph Wallace

I love how Data is all 'I'm TOO GOOD a judge, I might be TOTALLY IMPARTIAL, I have to warn you!!" and Picard is like, 'yes, yes, yes, and yes, that is why I'm picking you.'

Angelaina Marie

I generally like this one. For all its TOS-style goofiness, it still centers Picard, which is a very different character from Kirk and is having none of the seduction bs. Seeing him put in that situation is pretty neat to see. It's not on the level of quality as the previous episodes were, but it's a nice breather; it also furthers the theme of "forensics and research matter more than testimonies/courtroom antics" in the previous episode of the type, A Matter of Perspectiveโ€”even if it can be a little anticlimactic.

Tiggy Tigali

she was the best part of this episode. pretty sure this was the 2nd episode of TNG i ever saw

David Marcoot

I know this one is generally considered fairly mediocre, but I always liked it.

No plans to, but the Bridge Crew could choose anything they want come November ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The actress, Marta DuBois, that played Ardra passed away in 2018 of a brain aneurysm.

Ron Hubbard Jr

Another reason it has more of his influence may be because this was a reused script from the late 70โ€™s โ€œStar Trek Phase 2โ€ series that was canned in favor of doing the first movie.

Ron Hubbard Jr

Since it's sitting in the background where we can all see it... does this mean you might do a reaction series on Batman 66 (Please Ardra, let it be so!)????

Owen Madden

Roddenberry's absolute HATRED of religion is clearly on display here. He may have been sick, but he was deeply involved in this episode.

Owen Madden

I think Alex is a little low but C+ is really fair, it is a middle of the road episode overall and he had good points. I do love every performance in it though and agree with Josh that it is a really good episode. My score would be more like B or B+. I am not even a bog TNG fan, I am more of a DS9 guy, but after finally watching TNG in it's entirety rather than catching it in syndication back in the day, I began to understand why there is so much love for it. As much as people seem to love season 3 I love 4-7 more, they have much stronger episodes and story arcs for my taste.

James W.

Based on the reactions, I was predicting a C from Alex and a B from Josh. I give it a B.

Bob M

I think it's a fun episode. That's all I need for this one.

Joe Ibrahim

This episode is okay, i think i give it a C, but because this is a strong season it's one of my least favourites in Season 4. I think only 2 or 3 rank below this.

Thanks for the diferent outlook on this episode. You both make good arguments for why it's higher or lower in likability. For me, even though I know the ending, it's still a fun watch every time cause I like watching Picard running around trying to prove Ardra isn't the devil. Plus who doesn't enjoy Ardra trying to seduce the good Captain. Side note; if she were really a powerful entity as she claimed, wouldn't she had known that to get into Picard's pants she should have been playing Beverly instead of DeAnna... Just a thought... ๐Ÿ––

A mix of personal enjoyment as well as quality ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Seeing this reaction made me change how I grade episodes. I used to do it as a school grading almost , but now, how the episode makes me FEEL is where I am grading at !
