Positronic brains and androids is birthed from the late great Isaac Asimov. Data is very much R. Daneel Olivaw from predominantly two novels, "Caves Of Steel" and "Naked Sun." That character was so strong, there is more of him in some future novels as Asimov married all his books before his death into one, giant universe in his Foundation series (please ignore the abortion of that mini series). Anyway, Asimov is the one who came up with the 3-Laws of Robotics.

Wow there was no reason for me to do this, but since this is the episode where TNG overtook TOS in episode count, I was curious where it was in relation to number of hours of television, since TOS episodes were 50 minutes and TNG only 44. By my estimate, it will take 10 more episodes of TNG until you have watched more of it than TOS, and 41 more episodes if you add TAS and the movies

The reference to 'Camus II' in Picard's log at the beginning of the episode is the same planet as the one in the last TOS episode "Turnabout Intruder". "Legacy" is the 80th TNG episode and it surpassed TOS' episode count with it.

Decent episode, but didn’t give me enough good stuff to latch on to until the very end of the episode with Data

Not my favorite and usually skip this one on re-watch. It does have some good moments but overall it doesn't add a lot for me. Thanks for the vid.
