They have no honor.

Juan Tutrífor

Some monster voted D tier!

Mara

I WILL NOT SIT AT THE SAME TABLE AS THAT...

The Ninth Doctor

Easily an S+. Tying together multiple stories from both The Emissary and Sins of the Father - themselves S-tier episodes - into something that will shape Worf and Star Trek indelibly moving forward. Plus, Gowrons eyes staring through your soul is not something that you'll forget 👀

The Ninth Doctor

@Jim J Well, one reason is to know how old you are. And to recognize your birthday, etc. Unfortunately, faster-than-light travel is sure to mess with that. Even today, it's known that the time dilation predicted by Einstein is a real thing, and that time slows down for something the faster it moves.

Jovet

Why not use the Greek alphabet? Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc

JP RFL

@Tim b And soap operas.

Jovet

There are much more egregiously-spoilery things posted or linked in this and later posts. I hope the moderators are keeping on top of them (but it doesn't appear they are).

Jovet

The whole idea of a "year" should be meaningless in these space travel shows. Why would everyone measure time in Earth years anyway?

Jim J

Impossible to detach this episode from its place in continuity - S

#MaxwellDidNothingWrong

The introduction of Gowron, one of my favorite Star Trek characters of all time. S Tier by itself, S+ because of Gowron.

Josh Eversole

And you thought the Alien franchise had the only chest buster. Wooorrrrrfffffff!!!!

Bagofsoup

😁

Silk

Specifically, time works differently for alien kids in Star Trek.

Tim b

Definitely A tier for me, but it’s always felt a little like 2 separate stories that the writers merged into one episode.

Glenn Johnson Barnes

Sela

Jeff Lawson

I love a good Klingon episode but this falls short for fridging Worf's love interest, kid is annoying but tolerable. I also feel like Worf wouldn't send him away as the honorable thing would be to take responsibility. A-

s0rd3z

S tier for sure. Best Klingon episode too.

Spencer Loften

Brought down from S to A tier for the inclusion of Alexander

kevin coleman

Can’t wait to see your reactions to this episode!! It’s like watching a Klingon Shakespearean tragedy! High drama, high stakes…and Picard has to decide the course of the Klingon Empire?! Absolutely bad ass!! With more lore for Worf, an S-Tier for certain!

Raphael Gaytan

Easy S tier.

HE HAS NO HONOR 👀

Juan Tutrífor

@Chris S. As I wrote in your dedicated comment, these ratings are not the same as the ABCDF you had in school. It's more of a European-inspired system. A is still the best, and S is the best of the best...there should be very few Ses.

Jovet

👀

Juan Tutrífor

Dude, K'Ehleyr is dumping her other kid on Worf. Any degenerate father would see that.

Juan Tutrífor

Agreed.

Jovet

What I've decided is you need to throw out the "ABCDF" grading system you learned in school. This is a different system entirely.

Jovet

They will die slowly... Duras... 👀

Juan Tutrífor

And a new favorite guest character is launched: Gowron's eyes.

Jovet

Someone who isn't fond of Klingon politics!

Jovet

Head canon for sure, but makes evolutionarily sense as well. Q'onos is HOSTILE; you want to ween your young ASAP so you can teach them to defend themselves and hunt for the pack...

Axis 77

Yeah: I think 'adjacent' is a little conservative...

Axis 77

True. Will be more careful in the future

JP RFL

Who the hell voted B-tier

Juan Tutrífor

Klingon children grow very, very fast compared to humans. I don't know if thats canon but its definitely my head canon. Otherwise its hard to explain how a 2 year old looks 4.

Chris Mickelson

Honestly it’s best to avoid anything that even hints at something in the “future” compared to where they’re up to.

Silk

Time works differently in Star Trek

Silk

👍🏻👍🏻🖖🏼

Chris S.

Thanks!

Chris S.

Ah. I play video games from time to time, but I don’t consider myself a “gamer”. Does the actual letter S stand for something as in a word?

Chris S.

"Special"

Tim b

First S-tier of the season for me.

John

You will die, slowly...Duuurrraaassss. Love Gowron 😂

Jeff Lawson

A favorite guest character returns, with arguably an even better performance than before. More Klingon development, with real consequences this time. And what Worf does. Easy S tier.

JoeCensored

This has tipped from A into S over the years for me. Such a great episode.

Jon1701

It's like with old gaming cards. S-Rank is like a super-rare cards with gold lettering and hologram pictures that are also usually really powerful and you get like 1 card out of a certain number of boxes and not just packs.

wildhunt1973

I’m hoping not

JP RFL

The whole idea of a "tier list" came from video game culture with heavy influence from Japan. That's where S comes from and also why many tier lists have an E between D and F.

Dennis Hall

That last part might be spoiler adjacent.

Nerd's Gold

Superior. Beyond the best grade it really goes above and beyond.

Eric Wilson

Oh boy, y'all gonna have feelings about this one. Can't wait!

Michael Mannisto

petaQ

Bob M

Went back and forth a little between S and A before settling on S. Even if you don't care for Klingons or The Moment of the episode I have trouble putting it any lower than A.

Andrew Buel

Oh…..guys You’re gonna love this one. Klingon Empire, Worf character building, it’s all setting up the end of the season.

JP RFL

Duras

Darren Seal

I posted this below to a response, but why isn’t an A+ the highest grade, like in school? What does “S” actually stand for? Is it like “Super” or something like that?

Chris S.

To be honest, A+ is the highest grade in school. I never really understood what “S” stood for. It should be A+ - F. Does the S stand for a word? I think A should be the highest letter, but its their call.

Chris S.

It says "we won't be looking at this until after the episode." So I assume it's safe🤷‍♂️

THE LORE!!!

I do not like the Klingon story lines but even I think this is an A

Prof Moff

(They read these after the episode right?) I wanted to make sure because I was gonna post the same thing! Lol

Chris S.

Who the hell voted for D?!?

Regan

Somewhere between A+ and S- The pure satisfaction from Duras getting his comeuppance automatically makes it above an A.

THE LORE!!!

If this isn't S, nothing is...

Chris Moe

A+ to me. Everything can't be "S".

Jovet

This one is full of twists. S-tier all the way.
