2024-09-02 22:47:53 +0000 UTCalso, after seeing this a bajillion times... the use of color. omg. picard wears tan or blue or green - all the lower colors- but not red until he goes home. guinen and worf's mom in purple talking about prune juice. robert picks flowers that match marie's pink dress. it is so well done . edit: lewis (louis?) ocean guy wears blue and talk to picard when he is also wearing blue.

It didn't make the edit, but I loved the comedic beat of "There's just one thing I don't understand... you were always such a rotten swimmer, Louis." It never fails to make me smile, esp. seeing Patrick Stewart's huge grin. Also, I find it hilarious that almost every French character has a British accent (the holographic characters in "We'll Always Have Paris" don't count). Given Gallic pride in their language, it amuses me to think that the linguistic shift over several hundred years turns them English. BTW, Wolf 359 is a real star, and IIRC the 4th closest one to Earth/Sol. So the Borg incursion happened right in our backyard, cosmically speaking.
