Doesn't bother me, and I think... many of us like you putting yourselves through the torture of waiting for weeks to see the resolution of cliffhangers, just like we might have 30 years ago. It's part of the natural experience of the show. :-D

"Geordi can't get a date on the next TNG. Data has a pen pal who needs help saving her home, on the next TNG. Troi's mom comes to visit and she's set her sights on dad, next on TNG. Data can't tell a joke, can the rest of the clan help him? Worf is depressed he can't go home, but can Wesley throw him a surprise party he'll never forget? A special TNG is next. " it goes on and on. " Geordi doesn't want to help his shy friend in engineering, can dad teach him how? Next on TNG"

This is to make our season recap content (top episode lists, season discussion, live stream) and also to simulate in small part a refresh between the seasons like in real time when it aired. Our Star Trek journey is more than the reactions, and there is typically still Star Trek content every week of the break. 2024-08-17 19:33:15 +0000 UTCMaybe you have misunderstood, or maybe I have. They took an arbitrary pause in TNG much as if they had to wait the whole summer to see the conclusion (as broadcast). They didn't stop producing content. They've uploaded over a dozen videos in the last two weeks. All the other shows continue. I'm not a monster, dude, if they had said they were taking a rest I wouldn't have said what I did. This was more of a creative choice.

I gave TNG to the mystical, only spoken of in hushed tones third season, and the show is still forgettable mid 70s family show writing set in space. Its not garbage, but it isn't great either. BSG I love, but now that's that I guess.

I personally think it's a compelling episode that would make just about anyone crazy for the start of the next season, but then we are talking about you two guys, and that is what I love about your reactions, you never know what you're going to get!
