You did see Weiss exercising her Time Dilation last season. The first time was activating the Glyph under Blake and kicking her into overdrive to knock down the mech’s missiles. Then she used it again to accelerate herself against Adam’s Lieutenant, ricocheting off all the Vector Glyphs. And Weiss’ combat trial in the White Trailer was the test she was given to be allowed to leave Atlas and go to school at Beacon. Oh, and that tiny sword? That resembles the blade used by the Knight Weiss fought in the White Trailer. As Winter said, “focus on a foe who pushed you to your limits and make their power your’s” (or to that effect). So looks like Weiss took some baby steps.

2025-09-14 04:18:20 +0000 UTCI find it interesting, that Winter gets upset because Weise told her about her achievements, whereas what she really wanted to know was more big sister caring stuff like how she has been doing socially and her enjoyment. It definitely shows that she actually cares more about Weiss than what it seems like. Also, I’m surprised that neither Moscow or Elijah noticed that when he called out “ice queen” instead of meaning Weiss, who everyone else has called that, he actually meant winter Also is that neither of them recognized that the grim winter summon was made of ice which is there established element type rather than light?.

Winter explained how summoning works to Weiss...that they can summon a foe that they defeated and have that enemy fight by thier side. So the White summon of Winter's was a Grimm that she defeated

2025-08-24 08:08:12 +0000 UTC"Of course it's a gun." Fun fact, Weiss, Winter, Juane and Cinder are (at this point) the only (notable/ reoccurring) ones who's weapon is not 'also a gun'. Weiss is debatable since the Dust revolver helps her use Dust 'spells' and her glyph semblance at range. On initial reveal, there was a /lot/ of Qrow/Winter shipping, though it's tapper off heavily in later episodes and the FNDM found someone else to pair Qrow too (two someones, if you follow crack shipping) but I never really got into it. Too much animosity every time they were on screen together ('Fighting like an old married couple' only works if they /don't/ always fight) and a bit more of an age difference then I'm fully comfortable with (early 20s for Winter and high-30s to early 40s for Qrow) Time-dilation was what Weiss used on Blake when RWBY fought Roman in the Paladin mechsuit. She also used it on herself in the fight on the train with the White Fang lieutenant. (And had back-fire which was why she slowed in the air I think was the reason) So, alas, no rewinding, just faster or slower. By blood, Ruby is only related to Tai (her dad) and her mother from team STRQ, Qrow is Yang's biological uncle, and official unofficial uncle for Ruby. The photo was washed out/aged so colors were faded but only Summer had silver eyes. "Never stop moving forward." Another Monty call out as that was something he had said a lot too. "A job as a receptionist!" In-joke dig at Weiss' VA who was a receptionist at Rooster Teeth before getting the VA job. :p

She thought Summer was her bio mother (addressed in V2). ⦁ And now you've seen the episode where The Schnee summoning method summons past foes as per what Winter brought up (which also include Grimm). Pay attention and bookmark that TINY sword by the caterpillar you see at the end right after Weiss and Winter walk away. ⦁ Also Schnees don't have Silvery eyes. What you're seeing are washed out colors brought about by the poor lighting of their old 3D software program called Poser. Colors, shading and highlights are so much better in future volumes when they transition to Maya for the environments and 3D Studio Max for the character models.

2025-08-23 19:15:45 +0000 UTCYeah, I could maybe see saying that Qrow was flirting, but to me it always felt like Winter saw him as sloppy and unprofessional and just generally can't stand him as a person lol. The age difference is also a little much for me. Because of that I don't really have a preferred ship for Winter, except maybe this really good fanfic I read a year or two ago that shipped her with a certain important female character that we don't meet until Volume 7 :)

Blake accused their company of faunus rights violations and other things amd Weiss did say her company has issues and she wants to make amends and that whybshe became a hubtress. And Atlas is the kingdom whose military, government and academy are all connected which is certainly a vibe.

Also, for reference, Weiss is 17 and Winter is about five years older, putting her at 23/24. Considering Qrow is about 40, no, I don't ship them. No shade to those who do, they're both adults. It's just not my thing. Plus Winter has shown nothing but irritation when dealing with Qrow. So... eh. Ep 5: I love seeing Winter be a bit softer with Weiss in this episode. We saw a hint of it in Ep 4 but this time we actually get to see her be more supportive... even if she's still a little abrasive. Also, her line about "taking a job as a receptionist" was a reference to Weiss' VA being a receptionist at RT. We've seen Weiss use time dilation before. She used it during the mech fight with Roman (2x04) on Blake and during her fight with chainsaw man in 2x11. "They do and they're called silver!" Ruby I love you.
