UNCUT REACTION - Tales From the Crypt S1E3 - Dig That Cat ... He's Real Gone

I loved this as a kid. The theme song with intro is amazing(Composed by Danny Elfman)but will be a bit before you get to see it. I loved Tales From The Cryptkeeper too. A cartoon that came out a few years later, which uses the same music for their theme song.

Tales from the darkside. 1983 horror anthology series. It's my first memory of TV horror as a youngster in the early 80s. Check it out guys!

The first episode of the 80s Twilight Zone, "Shatterday/A Little Piece and Quiet." It's not one of the five best episodes of that series, but I'd recommend it in the hope that you watch the whole series someday. (The double title is because the 80s Twilight Zone had a different format from the original. Each episode aired in a one-hour timeslot but was divided into either two or three stories of varying lengths. This caused major problems when the series was syndicated in a half-hour timeslot.)

I remember liking it too, but on my rewatch of the dvd the other day, I fell asleep in the first half hour. The dvd quality was bad on my 4K tv. I try watching the 2 part episode again when I get an hd version

Patrick Smith

That was the pilot episode of the revived "Outer Limits". My late mother loved it, even though she didn't usually like that kind of story.

Anthony Bernacchi

I absolutely hope you watch this series because it is fantastic. I'm pretty sure that the puppetry effects are very similar as what was done in Gremlins. On another note, other horror series I'd recommend are: KOLCHAK, the Night Stalker (there's a pilot movie called The Night Stalker. It's about a vampire in Las Vegas. Also The Night Gallery (hosted by Rod Serling). Darkroom (hosted by James Coburn) and the most modern one is MASTERS OF HORROR.

The Christmas episode is actually episode 2

Josh (Target Audience)

Tales From the Crypt was produced by Robert Zemeckis, and he even directed 3 episodes, including the Series Premiere. (It was the Christmas-themed episode that I think was called "And All Through the House.")

TFTC, S2 E16 : "Television Terror" with Morton Downey Jr. was a surprising stand-out for me. First time the show made me uncomfortable in my chair (yikes) BTW, the Dad whose son shot the crossbow plays the police captain in the Lethal Weapon movies, also directed by Richard Donner.

Ian Ramsey

The tales from the crypt I remember the most is season 2 episode 3, Cutting Cards. You'd love it.

Mike Rogers

I used to watch this show every week with my dad when it came on (just like TNG). It’s a lot of fun and they were known for their different guest stars. I’m sure you’ll both enjoy this one if you continue with it.

Brian Moore

"Shogun" (2024) - miniseries, only 10 episodes.

I remember Demon Knight was on HBO all the time

Firekrys FWO

I was still young when Tales from the Crypt came out. Some were campy horror but I do remember some of them scaring the heck out of me, and I remember Demon Knight giving me the shivers. And there is no getting that shrieking laughter out of your head from childhood. 90s Outer Limits was even worse. It'd get dark and creepy. But you'd like it as there's a wealth of popular guest stars.

Firekrys FWO

I haven't really seen any Tales from the Crypt except for there was a cartoon in the 90s I seem to recall, and there was a movie called Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood.. which I had taped and watched repeatedly lol

James Bottas

It’s written by George R R Martin iywtk

Patrick Smith

Nope!

Josh (Target Audience)

Have you seen the outer limits episode ‘sand kings’ from 1995? It’s classic tv sci-fi/horror.

Patrick Smith

Oh cool! This is a good idea.

Disclaimer: Haven't watched those episodes in a while so maybe they're not as good as I remember them but those stuck in my mind. From the original Outer Limits: The Zanti Misfits Nightmare The Invisibles From the 90s Outer Limits: The New Breed Tempests Inconstant Moon Abduction
