Recently someone posted a photo from the news of a nice house and garden surrounded by rumble with a caption asking if Kevin Uxbridge lived there. Such a deep cut but I laughed immediately didn't even have to think about it. The way he says "the Dowd" is wonderfully deep and thoughtful, reminds me of Tom Bakers Doctor Who which I was watching at the time.

I want to pretend Troi was never dumb enough to get swept up by that sleezeball. If I had to pick one to never watch again it would be The High Ground.

2024-07-29 12:28:16 +0000 UTCAs someone who watched it live (as many of us did) I don't think it holds up the same. Most of the punch of that episode is the end of Pt 1. It's still a stellar episode. But emotionally, it's not as strong as others in the season. As an action episode, it's the best of the season.

The Bonding Booby Trap The Price Allegiance The High Ground EDIT: There are quite a few other "C" episodes that contain at least one elevating scene (e.g. The Vengeance Factor, saved by the Riker/Yuta confrontation.) which put them at C+/B- (I just can't rate TNG "D" lol) EDIT II: Re: "D" - there is an F in existence though. EDIT III: Expanded to 5 and included "The High Ground" because how did I forget to put that here? lol

A Matter of Perspective 10. The Hunted Who Watches the Watchers and Tin Man are both great science fiction stories, and emblematic of Star Trek as a whole. WWtW also gives us our first real deep look at the "Why" of the "Prime Directive." But yeah, Yesterday's Enterprise has to top the list. "Let's make sure history never forgets the name... 'Enterprise.'" Gives me goosebumps every time. I still think the outro sting on Best of Both Worlds is the best ever.
