I remember when I watched Tin Man when it originally aired. I took my wife to a hotel she liked for her 24th birthday. My only condition was I could park my butt in front of the tv when it aired. I was a bit drunk but felt it was a little meh….

Anyone notice they reused the V'Ger explosion from ST TMP? It's the same footage.

How well can they tell the same story with only a few differences? NOMAD = V-GER. Or use elements from multiple shows to create a new one? A disruptive character arrives; a race before a planet explodes; Romulans popping up randomly because they have a cloak; Troi and others fascinate over Data's understanding of humanity. There's an episode of South Park which makes fun of Family Guy, (if memory serves) because Family Guy uses dolphins to randomly pick which tropes to use for each episode. A.I. could easily write Trek nowadays better than what Paramount is doing currently. ... Oh, add my name to the list of Patrons who think you should react to STAR TREK CONTINUES ... It's like really watching the original series. I personally consider it Canon. Try the 1st episode to see. You'll be very surprised, I think. It's like someone went back in time and made more episodes.

This episode is good for what it was... Finding where you belong is the core message wrapped up in techno jargon and the threat of total destruction...just another day in the life. Next one should be interesting 🖖

Glad you rewatched it and appreciate your honesty and further clarity. I still like this one from when I first saw it to now. Not everyone's cup of tea I guess which is OK.

Is it weird I miss this quality of digital recordings? Something nostalgic about being able to count the pixels
