When Worf asks Picard to be his second, and Picard suggests there are younger, more able men in the ship. Worf says there's no one he'd rather have. When Picard answers in Klingon, you can see the relief in Worf's body language. Like he really didn't know if he'd accept. Great acting Mr Dorn.

Non-specific comment, but one of the joys of watching you guys speculate is knowing that one day a thing will make you guys pop-off. I think people were waiting for Yesterday's Enterprise from the moment she died and you felt hollow about it.

Tony Todd is one of the only actors who can make me cry.

Tony Todd was not in Star Trek 5. That was Bryan Todd.

This is another piece of Worf's story, starting with K'Ehleyr last season where we peel back the covering of "looking like dumb muscle" and getting a look at what's there. In this case... someone willing to take the loss of face to prevent something worse from happening.

I don't think they've ever confirmed this in canon, but if the Klingon homeworld orbits a red star, that would explain their preference for reddish lighting. Their eyes evolved to view lower wavelegths of light toward the red end of the visual spectrum.

Really happy you two enjoyed this episode. Everything Worf seems to turn to Gold with good writing.

I can't wait til they see the episode where Wesley has to return to his homeworld and do a tap dance competition for his life, and Picard just says, "Fuck no, take a shuttle."

There are two actors here who play Klingons here as well as in Star Trek V. Tony Todd and the one who plays K’mpec

I tease and you guys tease yourselves, but relistening to this discussion, when you're enthusiastic about something it's clear how intelligent you are.

I love the whole Klingon warrior = Viking Samurai that’s evolved out of their ToS origins.

There's no indication Worf never knew he had a brother. He didn't know his brother was still alive. He was so young and with the trauma of the massacre he may have blocked out that Kurn was left behind at home. At least that's what I've always thought.
