2024-06-18 08:59:56 +0000 UTCGreat opening episode. A lot of footage in this was reused from the original attempt at the pilot, which had a few different actors from those in the final pilot. Sometimes you can notice a few spots where the actors look a bit different as a result (like changing hair color), but for the most part they hid it pretty well.

2024-06-17 21:29:11 +0000 UTCI thought the first episode was an amazing introduction to the world, which of course gets more fleshed out as the show goes on. Really good character establishment as well: by the time it's over you really get a feel for the characters: the king is an ex-warrior drinking and partying his life away, Cersei and Jaime are terrible people and Ned is a man who walks the line. 10/10 intro, imo.
