"If the cause is just..." The throughline of Shakespeare going from the start to the end was quite good. I really do like this episode, and Tomalak is such a great foil for Picard.

"The Defector" is the #6 episode of Season 3 in my ranked list, which makes it the top episode of the season that you've watched SO FAR. Yes, there are 5 even better episodes yet to come. "The Defector" is #6 for the season and #30 for the whole series. Glad you're enjoying this season! (And yes, The Vengeance Factor is much lower.)

2024-06-05 08:58:46 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite Romulan episodes! This so excellently mirrored the relationship between the U.S. and the USSR at the time—poking, prodding, feints, and mind games. The Romulans are masters of deception and plots within plots, and I love it. There are also some amazing episodes to come in this season. Can’t wait to see what you think!
