I think its totally fine and makes sense because the point of portraying any sex in a story is not for education or documentation purposes but to convey emotion and often a major plot development to signal a narrative shift in a story. Even straight sex scenes are often skipping steps so I wouldnt even designate gay sex scenes that do the same as emulating straight sex scenes but beyond sex every fictional story skips steps in order to tell its story and if we took the time to see every everything done how its supposed to be step by step in a story we would be watching at LEAST 24 hour movies on the regular. Like I dont need all the road rules every time someone hops in a car. Bottom line it is not fiction’s job to educate or portray sex comprehensively, its only job is to tell a story so what a storyteller desires to show is up to them. Depictions of sex in fiction are not intended to be sex ed, if anything steps are skipped because its expected that the audience can fill in the blanks of how we got from step A to Step D especially because depictions of sex are often designated only for those who should have already received sex education namely teens and adults. The larger issue imo is the lack of access to comprehensive sex education overall but especially the lack of gay sex education where so many gay men are winging it or referencing fiction and porn which they shouldnt reference in the first place because these things again are not education nor are they trying to be nor should they be. I dont think its misinformation or harmful at all because way before we get to the fictional or pornographic depiction of gay sex itself the blame falls on the parents and the schooling system which are whom the responsibility of sex education falls on from jump. Beyond those, two sex ed should be accessed through the variety of sex educators broadly present in society whether at colleges, at a local clinic, one’s PCP office or even less reliable but still often helpful places like blogs or content creators (always check sources). Last i checked even pornhub had a sex education platform but idk if it still exists. Even negligent parents and a failing education system aside, we are in the golden age of “just google it” so its really baffling why people still look to movies and tv for sex education when they could literally - JUST GOOGLE IT. As for real sexual encounters, again the fault partially is the lack of access to gay sex education - id even say in part the fault is due to the stigma around gay sex and the fear gay men have asking questions or accessing the right resources. Obviously every sexual encounter with similar lets say Technical Issues may have similar root reasons as to why issues have occurred but the idea of thinking you can have anal sex wherever whenever like shakira sang really could be due to a list of reasons unrelated to even a lack of education or understanding, like ive encountered my fair share of strict tops who really just expect you to be ready for them at all times and if we arent thats OUR problem LMFAOOOOO I HATE BEING ATTRACTED TO MENNNNN Are some people getting their “sex ed” from fiction? Unfortunately yes. But again broadly speaking its not fictions fault or problem. Its larger systemic issues that have caused queer men to resort to using fiction and porn as education tools when they were never intended to be so I find no fault in porn or fiction skipping or omitting steps.

Might it be harmful and misinformative or is it something you feel doesn't necessarily need course correction on and is more of a creative liberty since including the dirty details isn't necessarily enjoyable for the consumer or a part of the creators' visions? Also do you have any thoughts/feelings on how this affects real sexual encounters and expectation vs. reality? I know it would be so insane if pornographers actually videoed people douching or BL/Yaoi anime/manga included that before a sex scene lmao but I feel like I've been with and met guys who just didn't really understand that it's not always the case that you can just spontaneously have anal anywhere and at any time, bc they had some kind of expectations either from media or from assumptions based on typical vaginal penetration.

The closest Ive seen is how fleshjack released some weird OC for a new fleshjack but that shit was an anomaly and I truly ponder who they thought would buy it either from RP porn enthusiasts to animated porn consumrs lmao. Fundamentally one is sex work and the other is an art or animation job and last I checked Im not a sex worker for drawing a nude model in my art class in college LMAO. I do broadly believe and support the idea that Sex Work is Work however I do question how broadly associating more work that involve less of a person’s physical body performing sexual acts into the cateogorization of “sex work” is ripe for exploitation by puritans and the like to then create a hierarchy of “acceptable sex work” as a way of punishing other consensual industries of sex work involving hands on sexual practices and thus driving sex workers to more desperation that ultimately harms them along with the continued social stigmas they experience when what most of these industries need is some or more regulation, not to be pushed back into the most dangerous asscracks of society. Now that Ive gotten off my soap box LMAO I think its great that more and more gay animated porn is being made nowadays especially since the majority of it at least in the west is coming from independent creators cause we hate to see a corporation succeed LMAOLMAOLMAO. I also just hope for more animated sex scenes and male nudity in at least western animation cause theres been more and more tv/uncut versions of at least het anime in recent years (Isekei Meikyuu comes to mind). Davion from Dota getting out of bed and having a peek of BUSH along with the full frontal of Q-Force were gifts I never thought Id see and id love for more especially with some shit I give a fuck about. My main goals for growth are pretty straight forward in that I would like to grow so I can make more money, plain and simple. That being said, I have ceilings for the type of growth I would like to experience in regards to my channel versus things like Patreon. Patreon theres no limit, the more money the better, I would not pretend to be a selfless saint and say id cap my income at a certain amount but at the same time based on the work I do and the topics I cover its not like I ever see myself making six figures with this shit to be frank, I dont see me making more then 50k a year in the best timeline that is not THIS timeline. When it comes to youtube I have basically been my biggest hater since I hit 100k subs ROFL. Before that, that number and the fake-silver play button (its mostly made of nickel, wish they wouldve given me the mass equivalent of how many melted down nickels that shit is made up of instead) were a goal i charged towards but ever since hitting 100k Ive just become so jaded about youtube numbers for so many reasons. For one, subscribers dont equal income, I dont make a dollar per subscriber, and to at times see my numbers on YT grow while not having equivalent income coming in has made me just not give a fuck about the numbers game broadly unless its patreon numbers. Granted a lot of this was due to many videos of mine being hit with limited ads to demonitization so big number viewed videos were not giving me the rightful equivalent income but I still always side eye how many subs I have compared to how many patrons I have and as time has gone on how many views I get per video compared to my subscriber count. I always talk about my general disdain for attention that comes with this shit so I personally would not want to have more than maybe 250k subscribers but at the same time with how many “dead subs” I have in my sub count (people who are subscribed but clearly dont watch my videos anymore yet havent unsubscribed) I would adjust that number up based on view count to subscriber ratios at the time. A million subscribers and a million views on a video is something that makes me want to throw up like I dont wanna be “A YouTuber” I just wanna make my dumb anime videos for the niche consumers that consume the same things and understand the specifics of all this shit I talk about and make money for doing so. Plus with how fuckin dumb anime discourse has gotten in recent years and how certain videos of mine have attracted the WRONG kinds of people to my content somehow I just really wanna be careful about growth going forward. Editors is something Ive thouht about more times than I can count and was actually talking to an acquaintance last year about the potential of thinking about bringing them on but I have too much pride in my imovie ass basic bitch shit editing that I would feel a way about my content lacking the editing identity Ive developed over the years just so I could make more content with likely fancier editing. Many viewers compliment me on my editing and how it feels like an integral part of the character of the videos and I feel the same so bringing someone on for my main videos feels like a step I probably wouldnt take. I think if I started a secondary channel or flip flopped between mine and a guest editors videos that were decidedly different content then MAYBE but Im nowhere near the headspace for that shit currently nor the income for it. Overall right now Im more concerned with making less content with higher ROI so less videos per month but making the same or more income, basically gaming the system and being more consistent in “video success”. I do wanna make more shit for patreon tho, idk what it is about the shit being private that I feel more inspired, probably pairs with my hate of public youtube attention. When it comes to people who aren't men that have sex with men (extends to some queer men as well), there is always going to be a spectrum of tolerance-acceptance / enjoyment-disinterest in gay sex so while someone may be fine with a man being gay, they just dont wanna see/hear about men having sex which can be a list of reasons ranging from performative allyship to tolerance-not-acceptance to just a baseline dislike of sex in general that gay sex would be grouped under but not exclusively the specific reason for said dislike. In regards to anti-gay-sex-in-BL "fujoshi”, i would say that in terms of those who self identify as fujo I personally have never encountered or seen someone who both identifies as a fujoshi AND is repulsed by sex in BL but thats just my personal experience. Because of the stigma that comes with the term fujoshi, usually women understand the bullshit that comes with identifying by that fan-label and have thrown away any fucks to give cause they like what they like and know theyll be associated with all the worst perceptions of fujoshi so I would ponder why someone would self-identify as a fujoshi while also parading how they dont like depictions of gay sex because to me it just comes off as using words to use words and not doing any required reading - but then again thats most people on the internet nowadays. Often times the people youre describing are what i call “ironic fujoshi” because they are avid consumers of BL, boyxboy shippers and loud “supporters” of gay men but at the same time dont identify as fujoshi, complain about fujoshi, how theyre not like them (NLOG behavior), and yet based on their behaviors they would be broadly classified as fujoshi hence the irony of them complaining about a grouping they effectively are part of (especially ironic when it comes to the misogynist gay men who would still claim theyre fetishizers no matter how “ethical” they think their BL consumption is). As for the specific people youre speaking about, I can kind of hypothesize that near-platonic BL has somehow come to attract consumers who just want to see “cute boys doing cute things” and so anything beyond the cute things is a target for these same people’s disdain who may either be homophobic or generally sex-repuled regardless of genders involved - granted theyre just literally in the wrong fuckin place to be consuming this at all IMO. I do think it has to be kept in mind that when it comes to any woman’s relationship to sex and sex involving men of any sexuality that the relationship between women-sex-men in society is complicated and often traumatic for some women so i think if a woman prefers BL involving chaste relationships thats understandable and theres nothing wrong with that but if said woman is going out of her way to then vocally condemn depictions of gay sex then its another blatantly homophobic thing entirely and benefit of the doubt really cant be granted. And again if someone has these kinds of homophobic sentiments AND they identify as a fujoshi I think theyre just lost LMFAO its like saying im a pro football fan but i hate when they throw and catch the ball~ ;]

I think for me, Walk on Water was really the first time I put a connection to the two even though I've been a longtime yaoi anime and game fan so now that we have things like Mignon, Nu Carnival, and just a general growth of intentionally creating animated smex scenes I feel like we're reaching a point where this form of media can have broader implications.
