I'm late to this but I also think it would be better to wait before jumping into new BSG given its meta Trek connection. I wouldn't go there honestly until after watching Deep Space Nine.

2024-04-17 19:48:37 +0000 UTCThe Mini-series is basically the pilot for it. (Like Encounter at Farpoint) I think if you watched the Mini-series and didn't continue on, you'd have to revisit it before launching the series as its all part of a long-form story saga.

2024-04-15 02:33:41 +0000 UTCI went for Demo man just because I have to work the 17th

2024-04-14 02:56:57 +0000 UTCDon't worry Stuart, we're getting the wash clothes and buckets of water ready... We'll "convince" them... HEH HEH HEH!!!! AH-HA HA!

2024-04-13 23:31:01 +0000 UTCWe aren’t watching the series anytime soon. Only watching this because we hit the goal we set for it

2024-04-13 23:30:37 +0000 UTCI really think you should hold off on Battlestar 03 and the subsequent series until you wrap TNG. One of the key TNG writers was the showrunner of Battlestar 03, and a lot of character dynamics and storylines play as an intriguing, darker counterpoint to the idealism of Trek. That’s not a spoiler, it’s just fascinating to watch the same writer go from a utopia (Trek) to a brutal/realist survival tale (Battlestar).

2024-04-13 23:03:02 +0000 UTCI was trying to be careful of spoilers in my wording, but wasn't sure exactly how to clarify what I meant. I've edited it now if that helps.

2024-04-13 22:55:08 +0000 UTCThat was the European version, they'll probably have the original

2024-04-13 22:54:12 +0000 UTCIf Demolition Man wins, I hope they watch the original Demolition Man and not the one that had the product placement changed out with bad overdubbing.

2024-04-13 21:57:42 +0000 UTCIgnore the reality-compromised. Do BSG.

2024-04-13 20:56:36 +0000 UTCI'm going Galactica, because I've seen it a few times before, so I'll be able to focus on the reaction more readily.

2024-04-13 20:19:04 +0000 UTCBSG has too much easy spoiler potential for a live chat, DemoMan for sure.

2024-04-13 20:04:52 +0000 UTCDemolition Man is definitely what I would choose. Battlestar Galactica is awesome, but I want to do a fun reaction with you guys live, and Demolition Man is nothing but fun.

2024-04-13 19:55:12 +0000 UTCA movie night with the fellas. I'm all for it. *BURRRP* Of course, April 24th is when I get stabbed in the eye again so i'm going to be less than awesome that evening.
Steven Johnson
2024-04-13 19:51:28 +0000 UTCDemo Man is much more fun to do live than a three-hour miniseries. You will love both.

2024-04-13 19:48:20 +0000 UTCDemo man is a classic, great movie.
