Just don't let it go to your heads. 😉

@Steven Johnson That is ALL I see now.... 😂

Someone mentioned The Six Million Dollar Man. I was never a big fan of that show, but it was kind of interesting. I remember it as being kind of repetitive like Quantum Leap. I think TV shows moved at a slower pace back then. Since you two have been in the wrestling business, perhaps you should just want to watch the Andre the Giant episodes -- season 3 episodes 17 and 18. Like the rebooted Battlestar Galatica, it started out as a miniseries -- three TV movies from 1973. It did have one of the best show opening and closing music sequences for a television show that I can remember, although that might not be in the three pilot miniseries movie episodes. You could watch some of the 3 pilot movie episodes and skip to the two Andre the Giant episodes. That's what I would suggest. P.S. The Six Million Dollar Man's executive producer was Star Trek's Harve Bennett with Harve Bennett Productions with apparently Harve Bennett as the famous opening sequence narrator.

JRR Martin said the same thing about fantasy. It really is true.

Josh, your love of wrestling and finding out it was not as enjoyable as you expected is a lesson we all learn: no better way to kill a hobby you love than make it your job.

I like Alex’s description of science fiction. At the end of it, good stories are the key; period or genre material (sci-fi, westerns, fantasy, etc.) are just window-dressing to convey (hopefully) a good story.

Collin Freeman

Talk about Kevin Spacey, I mean you guys are too young to remember the 80s, but basically every single time you turned on the TV, Bill Cosby was on it, either on his ultra-popular show or constantly in commercials. It is still really weird to remember that.

About unsubtle messages in pop culture, this has been a thing, essentially since pop culture has existed, or at least as long as the performing arts have existed. The difference now as you kind of alluded to, is the Internet and social media make it much easier to make a negative feedback loop of criticism and (sometimes) rage towards something, every new commenter or critic needs to top the last in intensity to drive engagement with their content and it just hasn't been a good thing for art and how we deal with it.

Excellent reminder

And in addition to only 1/2 year use, pools are time and money hogs, not to mention the hit to your insurance.

If you guys want something really delicious for summer, get some Tanqueray gin and mix a finger or two with a tall glass of lemonade over ice.

Echoing others, you guys are in a position where 10,000+ people watch and listen for your real reactions and takes of content for which they have an affinity. There's no need to have the skills of acting/ directing/ producing ahead of time as you are both developing those abilities organically, or what one might call the old fashioned way. I am a STEM Ambassador in the UK, whereby I go into schools and try to enthuse up to 5,000 children per day of all the good things that having knowledge/ abilities/ qualifications in STEM subjects can bring. Long story short I get that it's not the easiest of undertakings, especially when unlike me you can't look at the faces of your audience to gauge their interest in real time, but for that measure you have Likes, Subs, Patrons and overall metrics. You're doing fine from my perspective! =D

Thanks Mark!

Regarding buying a home. Everybody has their own strategy for first time home buying. My wife and I went the route of getting a condo first (this was in 2001). I don't know the current price difference between condos and single family homes is now, but back then, condos were a good deal cheaper. We ended up living in that condo for 10 years (and had two kids during that time). After 10 years we had built up enough equity and saved up enough to afford upgrading to a single family home. It worked well for us. Just something to consider.

I appreciate that StonyD! Definitely time and cost of upkeep is the biggest consideration. Will keep y’all updated!

The first house the wife and I bought had a pool. When the third kid hit, it was time for something bigger, but this time I went for a full backyard instead. Let me say that (unless you are in Florida or Cali) you only get that pool half a year. You get a backyard year-round. Also, I didn't realize until we moved just how much the upkeep for a pool was costing me. So my advice starting out with your first home is to decide whether you want a yard and how much you want to spend on keeping something you only use five months out of the year clean and working year-round. Just my take.

That's right! Yukon Cornelius FTW!

Alex, regarding negativity getting at you just remember: there's a thousand people right now willing to pay for what you do. Imagine a room filled with a thousand people, all of them there to see you and listen to what you have to say. I have given presentations and speeches in front of 1/10 that amount and even getting half of them to be interested always felt like a win in my book. So any time someone is rude, inconsiderate or just plain dumb just remember that there are so many others who value what you do.

1:05 Alex, you should totally do an RDR livestream on the channel. Nothing fancy. Just setup and enjoy. 2:48 I'm not trying to make it weird, my man, but you're a charming and handsome dude. You got nothing to be afraid of rizzin' up the ladies. I'm sure you could meet a really nice woman who would warm your heart. It's funny you're having those thoughts because, I'm 36, two years ago I lost the woman who I thought I was going to be with for the rest of my life. Four years, down the drain... Here I am thinking the same things you are at this point. How the Hell am i gonna meet someone else? You never know, though. People can come around in your life when you least expect it. That's what my mother always used to tell me. "She'll show up when you're not even looking." "The Wrestler" is awesome. I'd love to see an Audience Cut on that one from you guys, especially with your specific backgrounds with wrestling. 11:48 You guys are getting to a point now where Patron Gaming Night or Target Gaming Event or something might be, not only a lot of fun, but lucrative. Something certainly to explore. Getting you guys to take on Mass Effect would be great. 44:09 O'Malleys Irish Cream Liqueur is amazing. I'm just saying. I nursed a bottle of that stuff with my ex over the course of a month. Just a nice little something. 55:12 I'm just gonna say it.... Babylon 5 would be your jam in terms of story telling structure. I'm just saying, in 2151 when you finally finish Star Trek and we've all been uploaded to the neo metaverse... Maybe. Maybe. 58:30 Here's a mind fuck for you. Imagine you chose something like The Thing, or Aliens... and the safety protocols fail. Does that mean the Alien's could actually impregnate you with a chestburster? Holy. Shit. 1:05:25 TARGET AUDIENCE PRO WRESTLING T.A.P.R. I want to be on the mic at ring side. I'll be the J.R. of TAPR. 1:07:10 Just to be clear on Kevin Spacey, I know he was just an example, but the dude was exonerated in both the U.S. and U.K. So... The other thing with allegations and things like that is to never ever take what you hear as Gospel Truth. People can be accused of things all the time and they end up not being in any way true at all. I know two guys who were accused of rape, lost their college ball scholarships. Wasn't true. Never happened. Screwed up their futures in a big way. In one case it was just a spiteful ex girlfriend, and in the other case it was a girl who got drunk, went to a part, slept with several guys, and didn't want to get in trouble with her parents, so she called rape. (Another reason to stay away from parties like that. You never know what kind of heat you can bring on yourself.) Some people are just vindictive. This is why the media is so poisonous on these topics, because, at least here in the United States, we're SUPPOSED to be innocent until proven guilty.... But the moment allegations are made its like a dogpile that someone is a piece of shit, fire them from the movie they're working on... I mean, Kevin Spacey lost his TV show. Do you think he, or anyone else who worked on it, will ever be compensated for damages? Probably not. If someone is guilty, then yes, please, let justice be served. 1:09:10 You both make good points. I don't think you're wrong, Josh, regarding the "ethical consumption" aspect of art and anything else, really. However... I will say, if it does bother you... The royal you... Then don't partake. Given my own personal experiences with false allegations and having my life almost completely destroyed, I will never watch anything with Amber Hurd in it again. I watched every minute of that case with Depp and Hurd because it related closely to the kinds of things I was dealing with, and it is only because Johnny Depp could afford the best of the best lawyers in the world, and there was just so much evidence backing up his side of the story, that he was able to flip it around. I can tell you, spending a year in and out of court, and seeing so many other guys going through that kind of thing, dudes hunched over in tears... Yeah, I can't deal with seeing Amber Hurd's face. And I'm sure there are people who feel the same about other actors and performers... However, like I said above, it's also important to wait and see when those kind of allegations come out. If it really bothers you, that sucks, but you have to do what you feel is right. Right?

Steven Johnson

Whoa... good choice, gentlemen!
