This is the YouTube version of the most recent Whatever This Is episode. You can watch the full 2-hour episode in full here on Patreon, but this is a short teaser version that will be posted on YouTube this week.
The good thing about your current pace with Star Trek is that it's slow enough for me to decide every now and then to watch the full reaction. If you'd do daily videos there was no chance I would find the time to do that. Other than ST I'm not really interested in episodic reaction stuff. (Well maybe Babylon 5 if you'd do that eventually.)

I'm a post colorist at WB and I was impressed but kinda appalled. Why bother with all the opening logo faux 70s nonsense only to wimp out and shoot video?? It's not like film cameras are stuck in museums and unusable. Such a crazy choice and wasted opportunity IMO.

That’s even more impressive!

HA! Sorry, but Holdovers was shot on VIDEO! All the film nuances like grain, jitter, etc. were all created digitally. Apparently they compared real film to video and claim they preferred the video modified to look like film. The ARRI Alexa with Panavision lenses were used. Weird but true.

But only if they start from the beginning like Star Trek. You think there's a lot of Trek...? Doctor Who began in 1963!

Doctor Who (the good years) would take forever to get through...!

I am curious about Sliders strangely enough. I haven't seen that in ages but that 90s mystique and charm about it I do remember somewhat.

I liked the "after star trek we can come back to those other shows, they'll still be here" only because with Hollywood and their current love of remakes and unoriginality, you'll have new versions of those shows as well. And more Star Trek!

I love Star Trek TNG, and am so glad you guys are doing a proper reaction to it, and I mean proper. I would love you to do Dr Who as am a massive fan of that as well, and you guys would do a really in depth reaction to that as well.

Loved the holdovers! But I was ironic to watch it while in the hospital for 2 weeks over Christmas. The graphic that said “Day 1: December 17”- was also our day one. We were laughing at it, like “what are you bitching about, you can wander campus, go to Boston, we’re stuck here waiting to give birth!”.
Also LOVED American Fiction. I think y’all would dig it
