This is the only time the Orions were pronounced Or-ee-on. Usually, it's Oh-Ryan. I never heard a reason for the change in this one.

2023-07-24 14:33:18 +0000 UTCYeah, apparently the second season episodes were directed by Bill Reed, but they kept Hal Sutherland's name in the closing credits. It sounds like they were unable to change the closing credits for some reason. With so much stock footage, the first season director might almost deserve some credit, I suppose. It looks like Bill Reed is still alive at the age of 79, and he seems to have a twitter page featuring some of his artwork.

Only 19 years old when he sold this story to the animated series, Weinstein is apparently the youngest person ever to have written a script for Star Trek. He has written many Star Trek comics and novels. He is only 68 years old. He said that the episode aired the first Saturday of my senior year in college, a week before his 20th birthday. As television sets in dorm rooms were unusual back then, he invited about 30 friends over to watch it, and everybody cheered for my name in the credits.
