Thank you Edweirdo. It's like Plan 9 From Outer Space (lol!) I'll gladly throw The Empath, mark of Gideon or Omega Glory under the bus WAY before Spock's Brain goes under... (squish)

How long before the next episode of Star Trek?

This one is weird. But I always liked the line from Roberta about how some see today's youth as crazy and rebellious, etc, but they're afraid they won't live to 30. And that she still loves the country. Some of that probably felt a little more significant back in the late '60s. Especially on regular network TV.

I put the next episode in the so-bad-its-good category.

"Assignment: Earth" was a bit of a failed experiment. I don't particularly like or dislike this episode, it's just kind of there . It's not STAR TREK's worst. (Actually, the worst of the original series is the episode you guys are next scheduled to view!)

Isis the cat, I gather, was supposed to be one of species that created Seven's intelligence operation in the first place. As for the 3rd Season: I've already mentioned the morale issues when everyone knew the series was going to be canceled, but also, the writers in the 3rd season weren't all that concerned with continuity and coherence from the first two seasons. Bjo Trimble, who assembled the first Star Trek Concordance in the 70s, had a parenthetical abbreviation she would insert into entries where such discontinuities arose: "(TSI)", standing for "Third Season Inconsistency". It happened so often that she used it as a rubber stamp instead of trying to explain individual instances.
