Regarding some of the negative voices for Season 3 of TOS and The Motion Picture, don't let that discourage you. So far you've enjoyed some episodes that people don't consider the best, and you hated some that people really love. I think you enjoy episodes mostly for the great character interactions and other people want more action or a stronger main plot. So your perception of things will be different from some other fans. Keep judging every episode as you have and I think you'll keep enjoying plenty of them, including the first movie, which is the favorite of the movies for a lot of the fans, since it's close to the show than to the tone of the rest of the movies. So it really depends what you like. People who grew up with the movie era of Star Trek probably like it less, people who loved the Show itself more than the movies probably like it more. It'll be interesting on how you judge it from your unique perspective :)

2022-12-14 01:53:30 +0000 UTCModerated as WitcherJoker this time. I'd suggest recruiting a few more moderators. The chat was really going fast near the end there, it was hard to keep track of :) I tried by best to get rid of anything that even remotely spoiled any future plotlines. Otherwise, aside from two spam bots, we only had one person trying to introduce his politics. The remainder of chat was very positive. Most of the spoilers were just excited viewers discussing among eachother, not taking into account that they might spoil things for you (Some streamers on Youtube never read chat, so sometimes people assume chat is purely for the viewers). Nobody tried to spoil anything on purpose :)

2022-12-14 01:39:43 +0000 UTCYou received one final superchat after the stream ended. In case you missed it, it was for $5.00 by richard shimmel: "are you familiar with Axenar?" He's referring to a fan made project that got shut down due to legal trouble.

2022-12-14 01:36:24 +0000 UTCStar Trek The Animated Series has content which has begun appearing in all of the newer shows, including the original cast movies...............

2022-12-14 01:30:28 +0000 UTCTOS Season Three has GREAT episodes; there are some bad ones, including some real "stinkers" but overall it's added tremendously to the tapestry that is Star Trek. Watch them and make your own decisions on that.

2022-12-14 01:25:44 +0000 UTCThe three books "THESE ARE THE VOYAGES" details how the original 'Trek series actually had a lot of Neilsen ratings showing them SECOND in most time slots, which is NOT what NBC advertised the show was doing when it first aired. Each book details everything which happened at Desilu and Paramount to film those first 3 years, 1 year per book. I highly reccommend adding these to your personal libraries.

2022-12-14 01:24:12 +0000 UTCAbout ASSIGNMENT EARTH: I noted the messages that this show "appears" again in comic books. That's true. It ALSO appears in various NOVELS based upon 'Trek, which surround what ends up being called the "Starfleet Office of Temporal Investigations" (related to time-travel and the like), which first appeared in the Deep Space Nine 'Trek series, and also involves various back-story about KHAN and many other 'Trek characters spanning the 300-year saga that Trek had become as of 2020. Also, one follower of your reviews of Trek's original series mentioned you should skip the first movie. I disagree with him and AGREE with you that you WILL watch it. There is A BRAND NEW edit of that film which was released in 2022, and I recommend you watch THAT version.... which was shown in theaters also in 2022, and was AWESOME: new special effects do the picture justice, as does the re-editing for timing in many scenes, oppsed to what was first released in theaters back in Dec. 1979 -- after Paramount locked itself into a release date they couldn't legally get out of or postpone which didn't give director Robert Wise (of "The Sound of Music" fame) time to finish, or "button up" in his words, the final product.
