EARLY ACCESS First Time Watching Star Trek The Original Series - S2E17 A Piece of the Action | REACTION

It's interesting how you bumped on the Prime Directive and it's malleability. Fans gave Kirk another nickname after the series--Destroyer of Utopias. Probably not in this particular case, though.

If you do watch this one again, you'll probably pick up on some important, and sometimes humorous dialogue, which you may have missed while you were discussing another scene. Some moments which may not have made much of an impact with you, have become famous Star Trek moments, like the "Fizbin scene. This is an episode I come back to every few years, and it always seems to come up fresh each time.

Agreed, many of these were really funny when I saw them as a kid. Now some make me cringe, and others I just shake my head. Last episode was a cringe, this one is SMDH. But man, Kirk leans into it with fun at the end and watching Spock try to process everything is just funny

I love this episode. Alex said it best way back in "City on the Edge of Forever," Star Trek was never afraid to be goofy. They had a good time and stayed in character without breaking the show.

When I was a kid I really liked this one - still worth a re-watch now and again. Not a favorite these days but it always gets a laugh. I will warn you - this did well in the ratings so expect some copycats. The god and computer episodes do get old - now you have earth history/culture copycats(for lack of a better name). To tell the truth I think these are some of the best written episodes. WARNING - hold off on the poster... there may be a better option in 4 or 5 episodes. Well, maybe not - it would be rather politically incorrect to put it up in public - - but hilarious nevertheless.
