POLL: Our Next Movie Reaction!
Added 2022-09-23 20:36:38 +0000 UTCOur next Patreon exclusive movie reaction will be part of a series we did 1 episode of on our YouTube channel and we are now bringing back for our Patrons!
90-minute Classics - where we watch and react to movies considered "classics" that are between 80-100 minutes.
Of course "classic" is a subjective term, but we have chosen a list of films from your suggestions that we believe satisfy that credential.
Neither of us have seen any of these movies with the exception of Airplane! which we both watched as children, but have not seen in many years and surely don't remember much beyond the most famously known jokes (and don't call me Shirley!)
Multiple votes are allowed so vote for each movie you'd like to see and the one with the most votes will be the winner!

2022-09-27 04:12:06 +0000 UTCI hope it’s “the Day the Earth stood still “. It’s one of my all-time favorite movies, and I just bought the hard to find Blu-ray. Cost a bundle. I hope I can watch it with you guys.

2022-09-27 00:58:55 +0000 UTCI'm a fan of just about anything that involved Ray Harryhausen doing the special effects. Jason and the Argonauts is a favorite along with 20 Million Miles to Earth

2022-09-25 03:56:39 +0000 UTCDo you remember all of the George Pal "Sinbad" movies? Man, those were the best a kid could ask for on a weekend afternoon.

2022-09-25 02:21:39 +0000 UTC"The Day the Earth Stood Still" is a genuine classic but I think you guys would also enjoy "The War of the Worlds". If that's your introduction to George Pal, you should consider reacting to other films of his, such as "When Worlds Collide" and "The Time Machine". About "Airplane": yes, it's definitely a lot of fun but it's also been done by every other YouTube movie reaction channel out there.

2022-09-24 12:07:49 +0000 UTCAirplane is the wisest choice. You guys do sci fi already and Strangelove, while great, isn't a movie to talk over.

2022-09-24 04:26:50 +0000 UTCSince you guys are knee deep in sci- fi, I think having something different would be a nice break. I lived in Los Angeles in 1980 and I get ALL the jokes in Airplane! Even as adults, you’re not gonna get a lot of the layered thick jokes or references that relate to that era. For the instance, the guy waiting in the cab throughout the movie, isn’t just a guy. He was a politician famous in California for fighting against wasteful government spending. It’s an inside joke for Californians only. The rest of the country only got the surface level joke.

2022-09-23 22:46:08 +0000 UTCI will add another classic but very under the radar movie from the 1960s: "Fail Safe"

2022-09-23 22:28:17 +0000 UTCAll classic movies you should watch, but if you haven't seen Airplane! yet you definitely got to see it. One of the funniest films ever made.

2022-09-23 21:45:17 +0000 UTCAirplane II has additional Shatner just so you know.

2022-09-23 21:18:52 +0000 UTCThe Day the Earth Stood Still is the only one of these I haven't seen. I'll have to look for it. I own the others and like them. EDIT: And now I found TDTESS on the Internet Archive for free and watched it. Now I like all four choices.

2022-09-23 21:18:12 +0000 UTCOooo, forgot about the OG War of the Worlds. Yeah there are a LOT of Creature Features from the 1950s that you could have fun with. But for this one, Day the Earth Stood Still is tops. Klatau Barada Nikto!

2022-09-23 20:54:09 +0000 UTC"Doctor Strangelove" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still" are both incredibly important landmarks in the history of science fiction and political fiction. But "Strangelove" is also a work of not only directorial genius, but of performative genius by Peter Sellers, who rocks it in *three* separate roles in the film.
