EARLY ACCESS - First Time Watching Star Trek The Original Series - S2E8 I, Mudd | REACTION

Carmel was on the 1st season of The Mothers in Law, filmed at Desilu and produced by Desi Arnaz. Carmel wanted a raise for season 2, which wasn't possible budget-wise - so Arnaz replaced him with Richard Deacon. The first season was pretty good, but Deacon was no Carmel. I had a crush on Kaye Ballard as a kid when the show aired. Eve Arden had an interesting voice and way of speaking.

Some background info: This story's guest actor, Roger Carmel, was a regular at DESILU, where Star Trek was shot. There is a [free] video on YouTube of an ENTIRE EPISODE of another (1963) TV series Desilu filmed, called "The Greatest Show On Earth," where Jack Palance stared as the General Manager of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, with Lucille Ball herself in the episode as a horse trainer and ROGER CARMEL (Star Trek's "Harry Mudd") as a Russian bear trainer. Carmel also returned to 'Trek in their 1973 animated episode "Mudd's Passion" - with TOS cast also there to provide their voices for the series. Carmel also guested in "Murder She Wrote" as one of Jessica Fletcher's friends, along with many other 'Trek veterans on that show such as William Windom (Commodore Matt Decker from "The Doomsday Machine" episode). HERE is a LINK to that TV episode, called "LADY IN LIMBO" - co-starring Lucille Ball, Jack Palance and ROGER CARMEL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSwVoBRElG0
