I will reserve my show comments for the regular channel - here all I have to say is - - - - - - D@M*IT you've made me resubscribe to HULU! :-)

If you are going to do Firefly, you should probably do the far superior show by the same production company. I'm talking about Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Definitely a mishmash of elements from Star Wars to Star Trek. Even Bladerunner with the language mix of English and non-English ( Chinese-mandarin in this case). Agree, I was thinking this could of easily been a normal runtime. Star Trek is to blame, they started the 2 hour series premiere in ‘87 with TNG and for pretty much all Star Trek series after. Truth be told, Battlestar Galactica in 2003 kind of blew Firefly out of the water with tour de force acting, writing and F/X. Joss Whedon along with other celebrities in a tv special in 2008 were gushing over how awesome Battlestar Galactica was. Consider Firefly a nice fun entree before the main meal.

Wow, this was fun! Haven't seen Firefly in forever. I'm looking forward to watching these with you in addition to Star Trek. I hope that at the end you'll find the movie Serenity playing somewhere and watch that too. It's worth it.

Lin Phillips

I haven't watched this show in over 10 years. Glad you guys gave me an excuse to revisit it. Great show. As much drama about its airing and cancellation as the show itself. This show is more continuous than episodic. Keep your eye on Shepherd Book. In case you didn't pick up on it, the characters occasionally speak bits of Mandorian Chinese - I guess Whedon thought in the future we'd all be speaking Chinese at some point.
